This tube-nosed bat is recorded in Vietnam. Silver guard hairs run through its dark coat, and its belly hairs have white tips.
The back is dark brown to blackish brown with silver guard hairs. Belly hairs are dark at the base and white at the tips.
Vietnamese records include captures on a stream-side trail in disturbed secondary forest and on a ridge in primary montane forest.
