The forest swallow is a small swallow of Central African lowland forests. It is dark brown and makes a mud nest in forest.
It is small and mostly dark brown, with rusty-brown feathers on the chin and throat, a stout bill, and a slightly forked tail.
It nests alone, building a mud nest with a tunnel entrance in forest, often under a large rock. It has also been recorded with other swallows along streams in lowland forest.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
