The Maendeleo Horseshoe Bat is a horseshoe bat collected in forests of northeastern Tanzania. Confirmed localities include the Tanga area and forest in the Usambara Mountains.
The original description reports a brown back, beige underside, whitish abdomen and loins, and a dark collar. Its ears are large with bluntly rounded tips.
The original paper records it from Amboni Cave Forest west of Tanga and from Mazumbai Forest Reserve farther inland. Collection in a forest named for a cave does not establish that the cave is a roost.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
