This small jumping rodent has long ears and lives in dry parts of southern Mongolia and northwestern China.
Its ears are longer than its head; the back is reddish yellow, the belly white, and the tail tip has a black-and-white tuft.
It uses sound to locate flying insects and catches them with quick leaps into the air.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
