A bulbul restricted to Sangihe Island, Indonesia. It has bright yellow on the throat and around the eyes but is hard to detect; mountain-forest records are sparse.
Yellow extends over throat and breast; lores are bright yellow and the eyering nearly complete.
Fieldworkers noted that silent birds may be missed. Records include primary forest and older secondary woodland and plantation observations.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
