This fruit-dove is widely distributed in Palau. A 1989 survey report notes that its green plumage and use of the canopy made it hard to see, so many records were of calling birds.
Its plumage is predominantly green. The survey report says the combination of green plumage and canopy use made it difficult for observers to see.
During the 1989 Ngerukewid Preserve survey, one fruit-dove was recorded feeding on flowers of Intsia bijuga in beach-strand forest.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
