The Madagascan rousette is a small fruit bat found only on Madagascar. It is active at night and feeds on fruit and nectar.
It has a pointed muzzle, large eyes, and broad wings. Its long, dense fur is reddish gray-brown above and paler gray underneath.
It is nocturnal and roosts socially. It feeds mainly on fruit juices, soft fruit pulp, and nectar, and uses tongue clicks to echolocate in the dark.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
