The Riverside Wren is recorded in the Pacific lowlands of Costa Rica. It has rufous-chestnut upperparts and fine barring across its pale underside.
The Costa Rican species page describes rufous-chestnut upperparts, a barred pale underside, a black-and-white face pattern and a white eye-ring.
An account of the Pacific lowlands places it in forest undergrowth, edges, thickets, mangroves and freshwater margins, where it gleans small invertebrates from branches.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
