The Palm Lorikeet lives in the eastern Solomon Islands and Vanuatu, moving between feeding sites for nectar, pollen and fruit.
Its green tail has a broad yellow tip. Red marks the chin, lores and base of the bill, less so in females. The mantle can have an olive or brown wash.
It feeds on nectar and pollen as well as figs and berries. Pairs and medium-sized flocks travel between feeding sites; visits to lowlands are sporadic.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
