Crossley's Ground Thrush is a shy ground-dwelling thrush of dense forest understory. Its orange-rust face and breast contrast with black cheeks.
The sexes look alike. Adults have a chestnut-rust head and upperparts, black cheeks, and orange face, throat, and breast; the central lower belly and undertail are white.
It is very shy, usually alone or in pairs, and spends most of its time on the ground in dense understory. In Central Africa it also uses humid ravines and mid-storey forest.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
