The Cuban Parakeet is a yellow-green parrot native to Cuba. It lives in groups and nests in tree cavities or arboreal termite mounds.
Adults are generally yellow-green, with red feathers scattered on the head and underparts. Red also appears at the wing bend and beneath the wings. Young birds lack the red feathers on the head and underparts.
In the wild it nests in tree cavities, including old Cuban Green Woodpecker holes, and in arboreal termite mounds. It usually lives in family groups or small flocks, sometimes gathering in larger groups.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
