The green ringtail possum has a lime-green-looking coat and a thick tail. It lives in trees in northeastern Queensland and mainly eats leaves.
Black, yellow, and white bands in its hairs create a lime-green appearance. Two silvery stripes run down its back, and its short, thick tail can grip branches.
At night it feeds on leaves in the trees, especially fig foliage. By day it rests in a fork of a tree, curled with its tail and face tucked toward its body.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
