Hamilton’s Tomb Bat is relatively small among related tomb bats, with a small bare patch on the rump. Records place it in habitats ranging from woodland to semi-desert scrub.
The identification key distinguishes it from the closely related T. nudiventris by its smaller size and relatively small hairless patch on the rump.
Kenyan records include woodland, wooded grassland, thickets, and semi-desert grassland or shrubland.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
