This crab is known from Eastern Sabah, Malaysia.
In fresh specimens, the carapace is olive brown with reddish-brown grooves and lines.
It is documented in forest streams, swampy areas and on the forest floor.
In fresh specimens, the walking legs are brown with reddish-brown specks.
In fresh specimens, the chelipeds are orange and the fingers are black except for their orange tips.
