This small antelope is recorded in forest areas of Central Africa, in separated western and eastern blocks. It is light brown, with a black line down the back. Its belly and sides are pale.
The guide shows a light-brown coat with a black dorsal stripe that narrows toward the tail; the flanks and belly are pale and the forelegs are dark.
The guide records the species in tropical moist forest and older secondary forest. It also notes an association with Gilbertiodendron-dominated forest, without claiming that association holds across the full range.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
