Adult males have heads nearly equal in width and length. Adult males have a ridge running from the lip over the snout tip to between the nostrils, where it forks into an inverted Y. Adult males have two palmar tubercles. It was found in shallow streams or marshy areas covered with thick vegetation or leaf litter in secondary forest. Calling males hid under vegetation within shallow streams or at their edges; calls were recorded at 18:00–22:00. It is recorded from Thavalakuzhipara, Vazhachal, Thrissur district, Kerala, India.
