This small squirrel has an orange-brown back, a cream underside, and a tail with a white tip. It is known only from Hon Khoai Island in southern Vietnam; its behavior and diet are poorly known.
The back mixes orange-brown and black, while the underside and feet are whitish cream. The muzzle is pale orange-buff and the ears dark gray. The tail mixes orange-brown, black, and white, with white hairs at its tip.
The original study took place on Hon Khoai Island in southern Vietnam, an island densely covered with tropical primary forest. Diet and daily behavior are not inferred from those records.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
