A bat recorded in Sri Lanka. The Mammal Diversity Database lists it as a species but notes that it may be included in the closely related K. crypta.
One male recorded at Thorangoda had a dark brown-gray back, a darker nape and chest, and a pale gray to light brown underside.
An earlier record describes a roost in a banana frond. Researchers did not encounter the bat during a 2016–2020 survey, and the known records remain few.
