An antbird recorded along the Araguaia and Tocantins river corridors of central Brazil, using dense river-edge thickets in flood-prone areas.
The 2006 paper describes the female it observed as mouse-grey.
Field records in the paper describe pairs or family groups foraging about 2–5 m above the ground in vine tangles and young forest along flood-prone river margins.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
