A localized tyrant flycatcher of saline steppe around Argentina's Salinas Grandes and Ambargasta flats. It has a white underside and eyebrow, and the published nesting evidence is one nest placed in a low shrub.
The underside is unmarked white. A long white eyebrow continues toward the nape, and a white wing area is visible.
It uses semi-wet saline steppe. The first breeding report described an open cup of twigs, roots, and feathers, concealed about 40 cm above ground in a jume shrub.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
