Adult males have small eyes with round pupils. Adult males have fine granular dorsal scales mixed with enlarged, strongly keeled, conical tubercles, and spine-like scales on the flanks. Adult males have moderately long and slender forelimbs and hindlimbs. It lives on rocks, cement walls and trees, and inside cement culverts in moist deciduous to evergreen forest. Individuals were observed active by day below heights of 2–3 m above ground. Individuals were recorded both by day and at night along the ghat road leading to Yercaud. It is recorded around Yercaud in the Shevaroy Hills, Tamil Nadu, India.
