This cicadabird lives in montane forests on New Guinea and nearby islands. It searches for insects and other arthropods high in trees.
Males have slaty-blue upperparts with black on the forehead and face, throat, and shoulder.
It forages in the upper forest levels for arthropods, including caterpillars and katydids.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
