The mature shell is sinistral, fairly depressed and solid. After about two and a half whorls, regularly spaced thick ribs are separated by many fine threads. The aperture is oblique, peach-shaped and descending in front. Its rim is seldom expanded and only slightly reflected below. In October, it was found in crevices between broken stones on a dry slope. Specimens are recorded from a slope near X496 and east of Wenxian town, Gansu, China.
