The dwarf fat-tailed jerboa leaps on long hind feet and has a black-and-white tuft at the end of its long tail. In a study in Golestan, it hid in burrows by day and was active at night.
Its forefeet are short and hind feet are long for leaping. The thick tail has a mostly black tuft with a white tip; the back is buff mixed with black and the underside is white.
In the Golestan study, it rested in burrows by day, closing the entrance with soil, and was active at night. It ate plants, including succulents during the dry season.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
