The gerbil mouse is a nocturnal rodent recorded across much of Namibia. It travels away from its burrow at night to search for food.
It has buffy-gray fur with a dark marking running from the head down the back. The ears are large, and the forelimbs and underside are dirty white.
It is nocturnal and may travel about 100 m from its burrow to forage. Its foods include insects and seeds.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
