The North Western Rift Brush-furred Rat is an Ethiopian rodent. Its original description reports specimens from forested sites in several parts of the country.
Its back is finely speckled dark brown. The underside is gray-yellow to pale orange, the feet are gray-yellow, and the upper and lower sides of the tail are dark and nearly white, respectively.
The paper's specimens came from forested sites. Its type pair was captured at the edge of Afromontane forest with open grassy patches.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
