This Central American fruit-eating bat has soft gray-brown fur and a small white stripe on its head. It eats fruits including those of Piper plants.
Its long, soft fur is gray-brown, with four color bands along each hair, including dark, gray, and pale sections. A small white stripe marks the head.
It eats fruit, including fruit from Piper and Cecropia plants, and is often found in secondary forest where fruit is abundant. The eastern Panama study recorded it in planted and regenerating areas of a forest reserve.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
