The Pale-legged Warbler searches for food in the lower growth and edges of mountain forest on the eastern Andes, including bamboo thickets.
It is about 13.5 cm long, yellowish olive above and more yellow below, with dark lores and a broad yellow supercilium.
It forages in montane forest understory, at edges, and in bamboo. It tends to occur lower than Citrine Warbler and has a shorter average supercilium.
