The Chinese shrew mole is a small insectivore found in mountain forests of China.
Its fur ranges from dark brown to slate gray. It has a long, scaly snout, and its ears project beyond the fur.
The 1995 specialist review found very few field observations, so its detailed way of life remains poorly known.
There are 34 teeth in total, with nine in each upper toothrow and eight in each lower toothrow.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
