The shell is sinistral, depressed and somewhat solid. The aperture is oblique, peach-shaped and descending. Its internal ring-like thickening bears a very blunt tooth near the columella. The broad umbilicus narrows suddenly from the penultimate whorl, with the protoconch visible through it. It has been found on exposed slate rocks on a hillside. Specimens are recorded from hills by the Baishuijiang at Hengdan and a slope near X496 in Wenxian, Gansu, China.
