A 2012 study at Tsimanampetsotsa National Park described the species as a habitat generalist; it fed mainly on beetles in the dry season and moths in the rainy season. A 2025 study recaptured individuals in caves. At Kirindy, tree cavities or open vegetation were suggested as possible roosts, but the exact forest roosts were not found.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
