A broad-nosed bat occurring east of the Andes. Records from Brazil’s Cerrado and Pantanal were confirmed as P. incarum rather than P. helleri.
The revision describes a dark-to-pale brown back and a pale-brown underside with whitish hair tips, plus white facial lines and a narrow dorsal stripe.
In the Yavarí–Ucayali interfluve of Peru, five P. incarum with capture data came from primary forest (two), secondary vegetation (one), and clearings (two).
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
