A 2025 paper reported the first Bangladesh record of Murina cyclotis from Rema-Kalenga Forest Reserve. It was one male captured on a forest trail.
The male had protruding tubular nostrils, rounded ears, long pointed tragi, orange dorsal fur, and a paler underside.
A 2002 South Asian assessment describes it as a low-flying insectivore and mentions small colonies and use of rocky caves in forest and plantations. This older regional account is not a behavioral observation of the 2025 Bangladesh male.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
