This bat was described from Mozambique. Its back is gray-brown, and the type specimen was mist-netted above a swimming pool outside Nampula.
The original description gives gray-brown upper fur and slightly paler underparts, whose dark-based hairs create a two-toned look.
The holotype was caught in a mist net set over a swimming pool at an inn on the outskirts of Nampula.
