This small tyrant flycatcher occurs in northern Colombia and northwestern Venezuela. It uses mid-elevation forest and edges and searches for food in the middle to upper canopy.
It has an olive upper surface, a brownish-grey crown and ear-coverts, a black eye-line, and yellowish-white markings on the throat, above the eye, and in a half-arc below it.
It uses mid-elevation forest, forest edges, and more open areas with trees. The profile lists insects and fruit and says food is mainly taken in the middle to upper canopy, while noting that details are lacking.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
