Przewalski's gazelle lives along the grassland-desert transition in China. Its current range is limited to isolated populations around Qinghai Lake.
In summer its coat is yellowish brown, with white fur on the underside and inner limbs, and a white rump patch. Its winter coat is paler. Only males have horns, which curve inward at the tips.
It feeds on herbaceous plants in semiarid steppes and open valleys, and also uses dunes for bedding. In winter it makes a short southward movement toward areas with more water and vegetation.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
