This is the coastal Striated Fieldwren. It is streaked with black, and males have white eyebrows and throats while females have brown ones. It is treated as a separate species from the inland Rufous Fieldwren.
It is tawny-olive, paler below, and streaked with black across the body. Males have white eyebrows, lores and throat; these areas are brown in females.
It uses swampy coastal heath, tussock grassland, low shrubs and swamp margins. It hops through ground and understorey vegetation while searching for insects and seeds.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
