The Grey-bellied Cuckoo lives in woodlands, gardens, and plantations across the Indian subcontinent. It moves among trees and shrubs, taking flying insects and other small prey.
Adults have grey heads and chests, grey to brown upperparts, a barred tail, and a white wing patch. Females occur in grey and rufous color phases.
It forages alone among tree and shrub foliage, catching flying insects and sometimes taking caterpillars from the ground.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
