The White-bellied Thicket Fantail is a forest bird of New Guinea. It has a dark head and back with a white eyebrow and belly, and searches for insects in low vegetation.
The crown is sooty brown with a white eyebrow. The back and tail are dark, the throat and upper breast are blackish, and the abdomen is white; the wings and tail also have white tips.
It is inconspicuous and may be heard before it is seen. It searches for insects close to the ground, sometimes moving higher into trees and even the canopy.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
