The Medium Tree Finch is an arboreal finch found only on Floreana Island in the Galápagos. It searches for insect larvae by prying at bark and also eats seeds, fruit, and other foods.
It is the largest tree finch on Floreana, and its plumage is more streaked than that of the Small Tree Finch on the same island.
It chips and pries at bark to find prey underneath. Its diet is mainly invertebrates and seeds, with fruit and nectar also used.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
