The Red-fronted Coua is often active on the ground in forests of eastern Madagascar. Its rufous head and blue-green wings are distinctive.
The sexes look alike. The bird has a rufous forehead and crown, an olive back, blue-green wings, and a long tail.
It forages near the forest floor and eats mainly insects. Fruit and seeds are also part of its diet.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
