This gerbil was studied in northern Sudan. Its coat is described as clay-bronze, and its breeding records need to be read within the limits of that field study.
The northern Sudan study records its coat color as “clay-bronze.”
At the study site, reproductively active males were recorded in autumn and February. Small juveniles caught in early February were estimated to have been born in late December of the previous year.
In observations from northern Sudan, it slept curled up in cold weather, with its head tucked beneath the abdomen and its fur erected.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
