A free-tailed bat found in New Guinea and the Moluccas. It roosts in tree hollows and buildings, and forages over water and open areas.
Its wings are long, narrow, and tapered; the skin of its face, ears, and wings is blackish brown.
It forages with fast, direct flight over water, open areas, and above the forest canopy. Tree hollows are its most frequently reported roosts, with records from buildings and a cave as well.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
