Hose's palm civet is endemic to Borneo and has long whiskers and partly webbed feet. Few observations describe its behavior in the wild.
It has a blackish-brown body, grayish-white underparts, long whiskers, and partly webbed feet with short hair between the pads.
During the 2010 camera-trap survey in the Maliau Basin, the species was recorded three times at the same site (station 17), at 03:58, 19:41, and 20:41. The site was at 1,115 m in primary mixed dipterocarp forest near the kerangas-forest ecotone; the 20:41 image was taken on 26 April 2010.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
