A small skunk from Mexico’s Pacific coast, with white stripes on a black coat that break into spots toward the rear.
Its black coat has a white mark on the forehead and 2–6 white stripes. The stripes break into spots toward the rear, and the tail is often white-tipped.
During the dry seasons of 1997, 1998 and 2000 at Chamela, Jalisco, Mexico, it repeatedly used underground dens on open ground or beneath live or dead trees.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
