Its back fur is medium to dark brown with pale bases, and its ears are rounded. Known from a few localities in northeastern Ecuador and Guyana, it catches flying insects at savanna–gallery forest interfaces.
The upper fur is medium to dark brown, with pale bases extending about one-quarter to one-half of each hair. Ventral hairs have dark tips and pale yellow bases; the ears are rounded.
HMW describes it as an aerial insectivore in savanna at gallery-forest interfaces. The holotype was caught in a mist net about 8 m above ground.
