The Brown Lory has olive-brown plumage with a yellow face and yellow wing bands. It lives in moist lowland forests of northern New Guinea and feeds on nectar, pollen, and other plant material.
Its plumage is olive-brown, with yellow on the forehead, chin, cheeks, and wing band. The rump is red; males also have yellow inner tail feathers.
It stays high in the canopy and may be seen in pairs or groups of up to ten outside the breeding season. It eats plant parts including nectar and pollen, plus a small amount of insects.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
