A small bird of dry, rocky places, with a cinnamon-colored body and a conspicuous white throat.
It is rich cinnamon brown, with a salt-and-pepper pattern on the head and a white throat. Its long, slender bill probes rock crevices.
Pairs appear to remain together throughout the year. They move in short hops over rock, pull insects and spiders from crevices, and flatten their bodies while stretching their necks to probe deep cracks.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
