The Aceh Bulbul is a bulbul from Aceh in northern Sumatra. A 2015 paper reassessed it under the former name Pycnonotus bimaculatus snouckaerti and proposed the English name Aceh Bulbul; Clements later recognized it as a separate species.
The adult male has a large plush orange supraloral tuft that nearly meets over the forehead, a red iris, pale-scaled gray-brown underparts, and dull yellow undertail-coverts.
Field notes in the 2015 paper report birds feeding in small clearings with ferns and tall grass inside submontane forest above 1,000 m, sometimes perching in larger trees along the forest edge to sing.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
