The Lesser Racket-tailed Drongo is a dark bird with racket-shaped tail tips. In Southeast Asian forests it catches insects near the canopy and may imitate other birds' calls.
Adults have glossy dark plumage and racket-shaped tips on the tail feathers. Young birds do not yet have tail feathers as elongated as adults.
It catches insects below the forest canopy and may join mixed-species flocks. It is also known to imitate calls of other birds.
It breeds from April to June, making a shallow cup nest of fine roots or other plant fibers in a tree; a clutch has three or four eggs.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
